Diwali or Deepavali or the festival of lights is one of the grandest festivals which is celebrated by Indians all over the world. But what is it all about? For our country, Deepavali marks the coming back of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita to Ayodhya after 14 years of banishment. Their triumphant return was celebrated by villagers through lighted oil lamps which were placed at various dark areas to provide illumination.
